Here And There Poem by Hans Raj Sharma

Here And There

Having a look at-
Sitting while outside
On the threshold
Of the farmhouse
At my native village
Watchfully enjoying
The weather-change
All of a sudden
A bright day
Turning into dark night
For an area of play field.

Youthful Sun-light
Eclipsed into darkness
The sky-overcast
Declaring black out
Black thick clouds-
Clouds of the monsoon
Cruel and violent
Flashing of lightening
With an evil intent
Weal and woe, just to rape
Rape the modesty of earth
Soil erosion causing
Physical injury and torture
In the name of love and lust.

After a year long wait-
Clouds bursting into tears
Throwing half of the sea-water
To calm down fire into peace
Over-flooding here and there.
