Here Comes Ten Poem by Kristina Tapayan

Here Comes Ten

One, Two, Three
We were young and,
we just couldn't see

Four, Five, Six
We grew a tad bit older
and started out, our own tricks

Seven, Eight, Nine
Growing up is getting harder,
but we're still fine

And now, here comes Ten
Do we have to do this again?
What will happen to us then?

Children playing
Bodies changing,
We're not like that anymore!

Making new friends
Making amends,
What are we really here for?

What will happen to us then?
Here comes Ten

One, Two, Three
We just couldn't,
face the reality

Four, Five, Six
So many broken things,
that we always try to fix

Seven, Eight, Nine
We always knew,
we never had enough time

And now, here comes Ten
Why can't we do it all again?
We're tired of asking "when"?

Children growing
and us knowing
We're not like that anymore!

Peopleleaving
People staying
What are we really here for?

We're tired of asking "when"?
Here, comes Ten
