Here We Are Poem by Eric Joseph Lopez

Here We Are

It’s like you in a crowded room with so many eyes watching you,
Everywhere you turn….it’s so hard to breathe.
With your hand on your chest gasping for air,
Asking your self is this for real.
The world is full of hopes and many dreams some been crush….down,
You’re the best thing ever happen.
All hopes and dreams we got,
Surely don’t want to see it darken.

I tried to put my self inside this shoes again,
What reason for…I don’t understand.
I feel it all fading….slowly….away….from….me,
The pain as I mend.
So here we are standing at the corner again,
What reason for…I don’t know why.
Is this the reason we made it this far,
To see someone cry.

So here…we…are,
Here…we…are now.

I can tear my eyes out and still see you
I can run 10,000 miles but I can’t run from you
I can close so many things but I can’t close my heart
I can hide but I can’t hide the start
What happen in the beginning was you and me
Don’t you know…don’t let go…don’t you see
I can do this and I can do that
You can switch the light out I’ll still find you in the dark

You said that we will always be together
Through the misty stormy weather
You said that we will always be strong
No more tears no more falling down
You said that we will see this through
The day I’m finally there with you
True there maybe pain along the way
But inside my heart you will always stay

I tried to put my self inside this shoes again,
What reason for…I don’t understand.
I feel it all fading….slowly….away….from….me,
The pain as I mend.
So here we are standing at the corner again,
What reason for…I don’t know why.
Is this the reason we made it this far,
To see someone cry.

So here…we…are,
Here…we…are now.
