They argued not their posting
They trusted the law for safety
Many years they laboured
A long way they travelled
To give service to fatherland
And were denied access to promise land
They rolled-up their sleeves for the work
To complete the task still in the works
Then came the Bat-like creatures
Whom disputation abound as to their nature
And murdered the heroes of the election
Because it ran counter to their selection
It is their fate to so die, said the king
In whose palace seventy Corpers lay killed
Tell us Prophet king, is it also their fate?
That the sentence is executed in your state?
Is it also their fate?
That the murderers a King doth advocate?

A well articulated tragic story, nicely encapsulated and insightfully penned with conviction. Thanks for bringing to limelight such horrendous killings of colossal proportion. A brilliant piece of poetry bristling with wisdom. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
