Hesitation Poem by Carmen Cilla Cook

Hesitation

Here I lay and quietly pray
The wind is a blowin, ’ and the sky is grey
Mother Nature is a pushin, ’ wish this wind would go away
Heavy is the Burden, hanging right above me
If only it was lifted, how blissful it would be
The sun would sure be shining, underneath this old oak tree
Let’s finish with this stalling, and look up into the sky
Until this mess is over and you vanish this old tie
You can never move your mountains and let yourself go fly
So listen that wise old owl
And don’t be fooled again by the wild dogs howl
The time to act is not tomorrow, the time to act is NOW! ! !
