Hidden Poem by Tara Crown

Why do I stay up nights?
And then dream those frights?
Who are you that shares my breath?
Do you see my brain?

When I gaze upon your big blues
I fail to see my own
And when your sweet soul falls down on me
I can only realize that I am shame

Sometmes I want to tell you all
Everything that is in my mind
But your vision blinds me
Am I perceptual in your kaliedescope?

You, my beloved, are a star
You never needed me to see you
To know your brilliant magnitude
Or to know that you were looked upon
And loved

My life mirror shows only
Who I never should have become
And what I can never deny
I have betrayed my own self

I cannot explain the illusion, the dream of Tara
Not just that I never knew
Or always seemed to almost know
But that maybe I might have been afraid
To find out

My heart sings and burns
It's a portrait of the dying sun in pink mist
At the dawn of the sparkling moon
The stars flecking and expanding
The world turning, yearning, learning

I love you at the ledge of love
The turn of a new day, night, metamorphasis
As all stable reality shifts and moves
You take shape and remain
And all else is, or becomes, subsequential

I Love You

What a beautiful love poem. 'Ledge of love' suggests the extremity (edge) that we feel we are inhabiting emotionally and the precariousness, rationally, unfortunately. Linda H.

There we hang, right on the edge of knowing, understanding, bursting with the newness of it all. What a WOW feeling, and you expressed it so very well.
