Hidden Poem by Javier Falcon

Looking you in the eyes I can swear,
That you have something to tell me,
So please don’t be scared and let it out,
As by tomorrow it might already be too late.

Knowing that there is something hidden,
My heart turns empty and cold,
A heart with so little value to offer,
Making me just want to turn away.

So I just want to let you know this,
That even with our differences,
There is stuff I want you to know,
Words that someday will come back.

As if I told you I didn’t love you,
It was just to hide the fact that I always will,
If I told you to get away from me,
It was because at the moment I wanted to hold you near.

And even when my fears pulled me away,
I always knew that deep down I needed you.
