Hidden Flower Poem by Vera Sidhwa

Hidden Flower

Hidden flower of my wildest dream,
Where or where are you? It does seem,
In deserts, green grass or forests
I know you hide from me.

When I need you so.
But I'm always on the go,
To find you and find you out.
I know you're around and about.

Your function in life.
Is magical coloration.
Of a mysterious mountain top,
Where an assortment of flora do crop,

The flowers and plants around it.
Oh mystery, colorful flower!
I dream about you,
When I'm sleeping or awake.

'So I finally sat down,
Neither sleeping nor awake,
Staring in the near distant,
Where blue water showed-up pink flower.'

'At this moment, I truly knew,
That a sturdy pink flower,
Said it all.'

'It was the flower that was me,
In eternity,
Icould see,
That inspite of the roots,
Dunked in water,
With mud surrounding it,
It could survive,
Life's vissisitudes.'

My LOTUS was here,
Floating in the water,
While in half awakeness,
And half dreaminess,

It turned into enlightenment,
That would last forever,
And ever.
'I love you lotus.'
