Hidden Wonders Poem by Tirupathi Chandrupatla

Hidden Wonders

There're places on earth
Where sun stays long
And night seems to continue
Several multiples of 24 hours.

Living close to the equator or
The tropics of Cancer or Capricorn
One experiences a 24 hour day
Night and day nearly equally divided.

In regions of Arctic and Antarctic
Days and nights go on for months at times
To feel the phenomenon and live it out
Is strange indeed, beckons a visit to see.

I never visited these places in my life
Yet to know about them is fascinating
Many wonders lie hidden in remote corners
A life time may be short to see them all.
