Higher Education Poem by Jan Oskar Hansen

Higher Education

Rating: 5.0

Higher education

Learned knowledge doesn't
Doesn't replace the truth accumulated
During a lifetime.
Everything you learned at school,
The certainty you had, falls on the wayside.
They tell you about wars, but doesn't
Explain why it happens, if they do
It is mostly some nonsense that suits the nation
And you are left with no knowledge
Only an ex-student who loves to impress
By citing Latin.
