Highway Angel Poem by keith brown

Highway Angel

Highway Angel

As you drive out on the highway
Your sure tooSee a few
Of those lonely road side shrines
Some are old,
someare new

In the mirror
As they fade into the distance
Just Pray You'll be alright
Don't let a lonely highway Angel
Take another soul to night

Some shrines have flowers, Old Teddy bears-
with faded smiles and Rag tattered ears
Silently mourning the passing
of
so many heart breakingyears

In the mirror
As they fade into the distance
Pray that you'll be right
Don't let a lonely highway Angel
Take another soul tonight

And you wonder how it happened
The road is straight and long
Did another sleeping driver
Just Happen too go wrong

And their never coming back
Though
You pray with all your might
Sodon't let A lonely highway Angel
Take another soul to night
