His Mistake Poem by Heather Huff

His Mistake

He yells and screams louder and louder
with my every cry
i try to run to hide from him
it never works
he finds me even in my clever days
he grabs me
i try to get free
but i was doomed from the start
his fist hits painfully to my cheek
the first hit is always the worst
but this time it wasnt
the second the third
each pain grew stronger and stronger
my never ending screams they dont stop him
he's deaf to my pain
blind to my tear filled eyes
to him im just a mistake
one he must deal with everyday
i feel the stream of blood running down my face
he's gone to far this time
too far to stop
he hits one last time
ending forever the mistake i was
