Hold On Poem by Tamra PoulinStolz

Hold On

Will you hold my hand,
while I grieve dear friends?
A piece of my soul slipped away,
with him in the end.
Dare to shed a tear with me,
To express the agony we feel?
Do not deny the despair inside,
Or what it may reveal.
Let us sing aloud in stereo!
We celebrate his life in vain,
Because the fates were cruel to take him,
And my life will never be the same.
Don’t just hear, please listen,
To my melancholy song,
Of a very heartsick child,
So far away from home.
Dad, do you dream of me,
As I dream of you?
I hold onto my fading memories
Because I can’t Hold On to you.
