Hold On Poem by Tina Baaklini

Hold On

My tender soulmate,

Hold on to love, they say
For nothing in the universe
Outweighs the power of love
When hearts in it are immersed

Hold on to hope, they say
A sign, a promise, a word
A prayer fervently whispered
An invocation urging to be answered

Hold on to will, they say
What you believe, you'll achieve
What you sow, you will reap
Hold on to what makes your soul glow

But all I hold on to, I say
Is the tender heart that beats within your chest
For it pours into my life so much tenderness
And cherish me as his endless princess
