Hold You Poem by Lip Lempitsky

Hold You

I'm grasping at the air trying to hold you where you aren't even at, there isn't enough of you for me to hold,
I wish I could walk around with two handfuls of your flesh just so I never have to stop holding you,
but sadly that's illegal, and that's why I hate cops,
because they won't let me hold you,
those damned pigs don't want to see us together,
so we jump gates and run down alley ways holding each others hands trying to escape prosecution,
and we do, sleeping in abandoned homes and storage containers,
I grew a beard and you shaved your head so the police wouldn't recognize us, and now we are at the end of the border,
I know a place just across it where we can be safe, where I can hold you forever without intervention.
