Holding On Poem by Nina gáspari

Holding On

How can I look forward to tomorrow
When I can´t let yesterday go
How can I say I´mmoving on, when my heart begs my mind
to let the memories of you stay
Now that you´re gone, can you please return?
To pick up the pieces of a mess you´ve left behind
Cause I don´t know if I can take this pain in my heart
I don´t wanna cry I´m trying to grow out of you
without having to crawl out of you without that pain I´m getting used to
And sometimes late at night I just wanna pick uo the phone
and give you a call, ask you how´s everything
how´s your family, and if you miss me that way that I´ve been missing you
reminiscing us two
Do you still think I´m worth it? Cause i have changed my mind
I do need you to fill this gap in my life
But I don´t wanna hear everything´s great, you´re doing fine and got a new girl
So I roll in my bed, shed a tear or two, and sleep you out of my mind
I don´t wanna hear your advice on how I deserve a better guy
I´ve been down this road before, so I know I might recover
But the truth is..I really adore ya
So I won´t pick up the phone
Better leave you alone
So I hold on to my dreams...of you coming back to me
