Holding On The Things I Do - Poem by Bryan Schroat

I can't sleep
And I can't stop shaking
All my muscles are so tight
Where are those arms when I need them?
Eyes that can quiet my demons
Have looked away from me
And my thoughts keep screaming your name
Can you hear me?
I can still smell you
On the shirt you left behind
It's all I have left
All I have left of you
And it's not enough
