'Hollow' Poem by Taryn Victoria

'Hollow'

Sitting here all alone
Tears roll down my cheekbone
Disbelief in my mind
Life can be so unkind
Heart aches with a hollow tone
Waiting for you to call my phone
It's heart wrenching
Angry fists clenching
Pictures only tell a story
Wishing you were here with me
I dreamt you were healed
Running through a lavender field
Lost my hero lost my friend
Sad that it came to an end

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Losing my dad inspired me to write....my emotions are still raw since he just passed last week. I miss him terribly and my heart is broken. When I write, I unlock a piece of myself. I know that other people have been through this so I know my situation is relatable. Everyone deals with grief in their own way....this is mine.
