Why I Write Poem by Taryn Victoria

Why I Write

I grab my pencil and I start to write
Pounding the paper all night
Thoughts running through my head
Some are good but most I dread
I think of things I haven't done
There are hardships I have overcome
Many things in my past I regret
Stollen moments I can never forget
Years go by wondering how I've come this far
My pain sits deep forming a scar
Death is scary to me
Because of it's uncertainty
Who will it take from me next
Can't comprehend leaves me perplexed
My thoughts written out help me deal
Knowing no other way to heal
I pour my heart out
It's a way for me to scream without having to shout
