Holy Up All Night As Black As I: (Improvisation 12 23 04) Poem by Lee B. Mack

Holy Up All Night As Black As I: (Improvisation 12 23 04)

When I have reach outside
this eye to touch the other
side of sky
glory will the hope pray I
holy up through the night
as black as I;
when I have less desire
for gold and glory trust my soul
to serve to know
with value and honor high;
holy up all night
as black as I;
when I meet in your final hour
loosed from life’s shackles
with Marley singing,
holy up all night,
as black as I;
when I my first poems and
my last certificates and epithet
sing out to dispossess
holy up all night
as black as I;
when I write respect thy will
holier than my rights reveal
Marley sing it right,
holy up all night
as black as I.
