Homage To The Benzodiazepines Poem by Felipe Gastão

Homage To The Benzodiazepines

Homage to benzodiazepines

Thank you, damn friend, for having allowed me to rest, sleep, and dream. Thank you for sparing me from the solitude of the night, the corrosion of the anxiety and many other madnesses. Everyone says that you forest, cause addiction. But what does not kill and slaves us in this life? Even the air we breathe erodes our pleura. Everything in the world is part medicine, part poison, depends on the subtle dosage differences that kill or cure. I do not want to live much, you know. Unlike the wise men, life for me is not an imperative. I will not commit atrocities and brutalities keep on. I am not intimidated by the death, and i am not afraid of the day I reach the conclusion that it is not worthy continuing. Friend, who sooths my thoughts, brings me rest, thanks.
