Home? Poem by Amber Jones

Home?

This is not my home.
I am trapped in a realm
where strangers wear masks;
their false faces mocking,
forcing me to look away.
Where has it gone,
my home, my realm,
with all I know and love
still waiting for me?
Missing them, missing me;
can I not find sanity, solitary?
I am trapped in a realm
where strangers wear masks,
their false faces mocking,
and, finally, I realize:
this is not my home.
