Home I Crave Poem by Natasha Andeyi

Home I Crave

Her pretty smile,
Her kind heart,
And feminine vibe,
All of these get me.
Many are the times I think I'll make her mine,
Well, until you cross my mind.

They are all beautiful,
They all have my non-negotiable qualities,
But they aren't you.
None of them feels like home the way that you do.
Like I'd go east and travel to the west,
But my mind is only at peace with the thought of you.
The one who puts me at ease and breaks my walls.

I now get it when they say that home is a feeling,
Because the feelings I have for the ones I meet,
Cannot be matched to the thought of you.
You're always in my head,
I stopped fighting or chasing your existence away,
Because east or west, you're the only home I crave.
