Homeless Poem by Ojeikpo Elijah

Homeless

In city streets, where shadows creep,
Orphans and destitute, they weep.
Homeless, they wander, day and night,
In city streets, where shadows creep.

Their eyes reflect a mournful sight,
Lost souls, in darkness, they take flight.
Homeless, they wander, day and night,
Their eyes reflect a mournful sight.

No shelter from the cold, they seek,
In alleyways, their refuge bleak.
Orphans and destitute, they weep,
In city streets, where shadows creep.
