Homes Poem by Montaha Gasir

Homes

Scorching sun,
And days on the beach.
Or peaceful snows,
To the sea they reach.

Clear blue skies,
All year round.
Or cosy clouds,
To the heart profound.

Cinemas and fairs,
Make fine entertainment.
Or weddings and parties,
That cause amazement.

Baked potato,
My comfort food.
Or macaroni,
That fixes my mood.

Childhood memories,
Dear to my soul.
Or adulthood recollections,
That made me whole.

Friends here,
And friends there.
Between them,
My heart I must share.

For home is where the heart is,
But I don't know where mine lives.
