Hometown Reminisce Poem by Daniel Miltz

Hometown Reminisce

Lately, every week on facebook rundown
I am rushed through my hometown
Moving between mind-blowing places
Orchestrated as pic shots of different faces
For the most part, it presents itself blunt
Strip malls with large parking lots in front
Resurrection of downtown business
Then, I see white picket fences
The chestnut housetops under afternoon sun
Pic, pic, pic, pic -
Remembering my hometown
