Honey Or Dear Poem by Melissa Joy Chesky

Honey Or Dear

Don't call me honey or dear,
You've lost that privilege some time ago.
You don't have the right,
No, the permission,
To say those words to me.
You've shown me your ugly side,
You've shown me your harshness,
And you no longer have my trust.
You no longer have me wrapped around your finger.
I'm not at your beck and call.
You don't charm me anymore.
I'm not your ally,
I'm not your friend,
Don't dare call me honey or dear.
