Honor Your Parents Poem by Suzae Chevalier

Honor Your Parents

Honor your parents this is true
you have to count your blessings
when you are feeling blue.
For if you are grown and have been fed
made it through school-
and had a roof over your head-
Thank your parents for at least
you had more than the children
who live in the streets
some die and from not getting enough to eat.
These children don't
have any of things mentioned above
some never even had love.
Some just thankful-these boys and girls
they live in garbage dumps in third world.
Also realize your parents were abused
maybe more and don't have a clue.
For we not only inherit our families'
blessings but also their curse
through our bloodline-
We have to humble ourselves and
do this all the time.
