Hoodoo Poem by Mason Maestro

Hoodoo

Under the bed
I bury my head and try to shut the world out
As it's found there's a whole other world of Hoodoo
Of root doctoring conjuring and spirit voodoo
You curse the sorry chap with the effigy
And nailed a nerve with pin fifty
The folkways of Africa made way for New Orleans
And the witch doctors of Mexico cast their means
Jinxed Hoodoo piles and punctured voodoo dolls
Mystic women summon and greet the devil's calls
