HOPE
It takes a while…
To admit the truth, sometimes it takes so long, that we forget the facts.
We remember vague pieces but we can’t fit the whole puzzle.
We doubt ourselves, lost in a stream of panic.
Of loneliness when not understood, of fear when not heard
We loose ourselves, and eventually we give in.
We can’t seem to put together who we are,
So we just simply stop thinking,
Stop wondering,
We stop being who we once were.
Eventually it all tumbles down,
The gaping whole in our chest,
The screaming of words in our minds;
We can’t help but seek salvation.
We fill our hearts with hope,
Yet not truly believing,
And everyday we plot out our salvation.
Believing our lives to be a film, but there is no remake.
Yet nothing works, because it’s not up to us anymore,
Or is it?
Are my words, my actions, capable of changing everything?
Even when those near you don’t seem to know you anymore,
Or when those you trust you can’t burden.
What do u do then?
Do we simply give up?
When the loves of those near us seems nothing like more, than
A fleeting illusion,
We have no one to rely on but ourselves.
We can’t help but loose faith, and drown in a pool of lies.
Not knowing when to rise or to finally surrender we go on, moving through life.
A life already taken from us because of a misunderstanding, because of the wrong facts
Looked upon as monsters, regardless of the truth,
Not being recognized by those we love.
Our parents,
Or by the one who is supposed to believe in us
We can’t help, but loose hope.
