Hope Kills Poem by matt hartwell

Hope Kills

HOPE- kills
--love- is a waste
-dreams- cant be accomplished that's why they're dreams
--religion - fails
--violence- the only real emotion
-tears- cleanse the soul
--forgiveness- a gift i don't deserve
-music - the only gift i ever loved
-friends - can abandon you
--girlfriends - can lie
-boyfriends - can cheat
-depression - can be a welcome guest.
-happiness - can drive you to kill
-money - can destroy
--GOD-can Save

I disagree completely. Hope saves. Dreams are the drive that keeps us going. And as for the rest, you hhave a point. But the overall theme is depressing. There is light at the end of the tunnel my friend. You have a gift. Don't throw it away on poems like this. It's wasteful. There is hope.
