Hope Stands Alone Poem by Anonymous Jr.

Hope Stands Alone

In the ground a seedling's planted
The sun shone and love was shown
Now it seems a life was granted
A beautiful flower stands alone

In the wind these petals sway
Back and forth and against the grain
The rain does fall and the flower plays
One sole plant on a godly plain

Red skies, that's the warning
Dawn breaks over the hill
The flower's colors burst into morning
It'll stand it's ground, come what will

The roots strong, the colors bold
Above the town it sits high
Sun dips down as the air grows cold
Blackened clouds fill the sky

These clouds open and they pour
Simple winds turn to gales
Making rubble of the meadow's floor
The wake of a tornadoes tail

The storm has hit and there is no sound
For souls who've past the flags are flown
As one strolls through the broken town
A beautiful stands alone
