Hopefully An Awakening Poem by Dying Iris

Hopefully An Awakening

You never say what I want to hear
Maybe you just don’t listen
To you the message is unclear
You’ve forgotten about the little things
The things you once use to do
It’s like their faded memories
A different part of you
You live in your sarcasm
So you don’t have to feel
Anything remotely close to being real
You laugh when I am sad
Because you don’t realize
The meaning behind the tears
That are flowing from my eyes.
I need you to be the man I feel in love with
Long ago
Please change for me
I don’t want to let you go.
