Hoping And Waiting Poem by Ridah Ellahi

Hoping And Waiting

I sit by the window and I stare,
Waiting for somebody to come near.
I bleed in hopes that someone would see,
The red liquid gushing, and come near to me.

I sit alone in the dark and I wait,
To be able to let go of all the hate.
I need someone to come help me win,
This battle called life, and stop the tears rolling down my skin.

I wait for someone to come hold my hand,
Someone to tell me that not all is bad.
I wish for that someone to come along.
I wish for something I never had.

Alone in this big world,
I’m losing all hope.
Running out of breath,
Somebody loosen this rope.

Fate playing its’ terms against me.
Luck working as its’ accomplice.
I’m not asking for help anymore.
I know I need to survive this.

I’m still hoping and waiting,
For some happiness to come towards me.
Nothing seems to work,
The ghost of my past still haunts me.

Still hoping and waiting,
For that someone to come and hold my hand.
Still hoping and waiting,
For someone to tell me that not all is bad.
