Hotline Ring Poem by Marcquiese Burrell

Hotline Ring

Do not call me on my cell phone
anytime you need some help
Do not call me on my cell phone
anytime you need some help
whenever my hotline ring
you're calling for that one thing

Shake my head in pity at a fool
Never smite the hand that feed you
A vultures purpose is to bleed you
Then forgetting when they need you
shake my head in pity at a fool
You started changing now you acting brand new
Kicked you out my life, that's right, I've banned you
The other side of court is where it land you

Do not call me on my cell phone
anytime you need some help
Do not call me on my cell phone
anytime you need some help
whenever my hotline ring
you're calling for that one thing

Shake my head in pity at a fool
You've must expected us to get along
You don't remember how you did me wrong
I put you in the place where you belong
shake my head in pity at a fool
You've got served what's on the menu
All black at the funeral, I've end you
come bearing no flowers to send you

You only call me when you
want some help financially
whenever my hotline ring
you're calling for that one thing

Call 2-1-1 quick, b***h!
You know that I don't fawk with you
You know that we have some issues
And I don't care too much for you
nah, nah, nah
Way back then it was the real thing
life interferred and feelings changed
New beginnings on the horizon came

Do not call my cell phone
anytime you need some help
do not call my cell phone
anytime you need some help
whenever my hotline ring
you're calling for that one thing
whenever my hotline ring
you're calling for that one thing
shake my head in pity...
