House Of Payne Poem by Racquel Davis

House Of Payne

I grew up in a house of payne
Most of the time we didn't have anything to eat
Abusive mean and drug addict mother
No father around and big brother missing
Always wondering what did I do wrong
Am I just not good enough
Did I do something wrong
Why can't Tommy and Lydia be friends
The daughter crying the brother not knowing
Makes one tired I have to stop running
Go back to the past and start all over
Forgive Tommy thank Lydia for life
Without them there is no you
Without you where would the passion be
Expressing yourself with this pen and paper
Forget about that house of payne
and think about the all the stuff you have gained
I grew up in a house of payne
