House Of Stone - Poem by Robert Walter Huge

Vacant the mansion
That's void
Of song,
Empty The palace,
Regardless
Its throng;
For if mortar and brick
Be its pulse
Be its blood,
More squalid that manor
Than a hovel
Of mud.
