How About You? - Poem by Ahamad Ilyaas Vilayathullah

We're Muslims.
We believe in Allah,
The creator of the universe
And everything in it.
We're proud in being so.
How about you?

We're Muslims.
We believe in Muhammad,
The final messenger from Allah
To mankind, and all
Other messengers before him.
We're proud in being so.
How about you?

We're Muslims.
We believe in the Quran,
The final book from Allah
To mankind, and all
Other books before it.
We're proud in being so.
How about you?

We're Muslims.
We believe in Jibril, the spirit
That came to Muhammad
And all other messengers
With the message from Allah,
And all other angels
With divine errands.
We're proud in being so.
How about you?

We're Muslims.
We believe in the day
Of trial and judgment,
Of reward and punishment,
And all that follows them.
We're proud in being so.
How about you?

We're Muslims.
We believe in divine destiny,
The supreme plan of Allah
Behind everything in this life.
The mystery of our very being
And everything that eludes us.
We're proud in being so.
How about you?
