How Beautiful Poem by Katherine H. Belle

How Beautiful

Rating: 4.0

How beautiful your mind
in its jumbled heap
lying upon the floor
decoding, rewriting,
processing information
truths
and lies
and stories to be told

How beautiful the flower
that emerges every spring
from its long winter nap
cold and chilled
but still alive
and thriving
sucking the little drops of dew
like a precious nectar
given from the gods.

How beautiful the bird
that sings in the rainforests nights
His large beak breaks open fruit
Eating its sweet meats
and spitting out the seeds
singing all the while
Little Toucan
Little Toucan
Hear my songs prayer

How beautiful the moon
the sun
the sky
with all it's glory
All of its mystery
Shrouded in clouds
so white
you can almost taste
the sweet cotton candy
on your lips
when it rains.
