How Can We Doubt Him Poem by Michael P. Johnson

How Can We Doubt Him

Love’s true obedience is the key
On victory’s cloud to ride
When unto death we’ll bend our knee
That God be glorified

Displayed through Christ God’s Lamb and Son
The King of kings on high
Obedient; life’s war was won
And death was made to die

Through death all power was restored
Power our God laid down
Reigning again as Living Lord
With Life’s eternal crown

All authority Christ retrieved
Death’s crown lay at His feet
Undying victory was achieved
At Satan’s swift retreat

With death and Hades in His hand
Fulfilled was Heaven’s plan
Now all again is in command
Of God who walked as man

Walking suffering sweat and tears
Love’s sacrifice divine
Bearing our sins our doubts and fears
Spilling life’s blood like wine

Our awesome King our wondrous friend
Almighty God above
Who can fathom or comprehend
The power of His love

The depth the height the in between
The inns and outs unknown
Who can imagine yet unseen?
Awaiting Heaven’s throne
