How Come?

The holes in the ceiling of your heart
Give that sinking feeling
Droplets of life blood dripping
Contaminated with nitrous fumes of hate
The arteries in which such tainted blood flows, themselves clogged with muck

Not much hope for love here
I fear.
It's not your fault
Your heart is a vault
Walls thicker than Fort Knox
Built for serious knocks
But, what do you do if you were fed a diet of hate?
From birth they told you wrongly
To love hate as your fate.
Your soul went through metamorphic ecdysis.
You couldn't take this

You grew up a twisted man
A hateful man
A horrible man
A lonely man
Shut out from reality
From the generality
From love
And you wonder how come
You love hate
Too late it's your fate

I won't lie
Such is the tragedy
Tragi comedy
Of those that claim righteousness in faith
I say it straight.
A messenger
You get the message, huh?
Hate is called love
How come?
