How'D You Get To Be So Great Poem by William B. Deutscher

How'D You Get To Be So Great

In the sun-topped day
See your eyes locked up away

In the star-shot night
See your head held high to rights

Ignore me on a summer city street
Noontime loss to the fast pace of defeat

In the gold-gate greenery
Run a deepening dream to the sea
