How Do I Get From Here To There? Poem by Claudia Warzecha

How Do I Get From Here To There?

Rating: 4.5

How do I get from here to there?
Where the sun shakes hands with the moon
and the stars smile upon the elusive lagoon.

How do I get from here to there?
Where the butterflies rest, lions sleep with sheep
and flowers are always in bloom.

How do I get from here to there?
Where the winds whisper creates clouds soft as cotton,
pillows and blankets warming the long ago forgotten.

How do I get from here to there?
Where the moon rocks the ocean ever so gentle,
composing illustrious music for the infinite soul.

Is it the road up high or down below?
Will I find it in the deep valleys of the ocean floor
or above the highest snow covered peaks.

It's an excellent poem. The five triplets with the refrain 'How Do I Get From Here To There? ' take our thoughts along and make us think with you: 'How Do I Get From Here To There? ' The imagery of the sun shaking hands with the moon, the elusive lagoon, lions sleeping with sheep, flowers always in bloom, winds whisper creating clouds soft as cotton, moon rocking the ocean ever so gentle, 'composing illustrious music for the infinite soul' are truly poetic expressions.
