How Do You? Poem by Graham Jones

How Do You?

How do you replace a heart thats broken?
So bad its pierced the skin
How do you stem the tears that flow?
Like a river from within
How do you mask the pain so obvious?
Its seen by all around
How do you stifle all those inner groans?
So you utter not a sound
How do you take away the pictures?
That reccur inside your mind
Do you stumble in the darkness?
Wishing you were blind
How do you take away the memory?
So strong you smell the scent?
How do you replace a heart thats broken?
When all the tears are spent.
