How Great The Day Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

How Great The Day

How great the day
When all love all
Without the need of compensation
For Loving be giving without
Taking:
When all love all
Even so-called enemies
That long-term to friends
Shall to transform propense be!
How great the day
When we be
Not nations, states, races - but one Humanity
And with us include the rest of matter-energy
How great the Dawns
How dispelled the drear of days!
Friends, then concentrate we
On hourly work and discovery
Upon discovery
And the arts of Beauty!
And from Illness, Ageing, Death so-called
We near by the hour to Immortality
And
All new civilization shall change as soon as made
Civilization to new civilization to new civilization
How great the times
How great the day!
