When I was a child
I want to grow old fast
And make the time rush
Can't wait to be free
To stand on my own like a tree
Can't wait to the things
that I want to do....
Go hangout without
asking my parents permission
Go home late without
worrying from their scolding portion
No homeworks, no chores
That's why I cant wait to grow old....
And now the time has come....
I'm on my own now
Yes, it's fun to be free
But not all the time...
Because as i grow old
My realization about Life
Becomes different...
Problems gets harder, situation gets deeper
And now....
How I wish, I could go back...
Back to the times
When the only man in my life was only my Dad
And my only best friend was my Mom
And any pain could be healed
By just a band aid and lollipop......
Rica, the value of life keeps augmenting. As it does, we keep treading meanings that'll be worthwhile one day when all that's left is a chair and some memories to ponder.- you're doing fine :) Love, Daffodil
Rica, life has to move on, no matter what. God gave us the gift of wisdom to be able to comprehend everything that will happen in our life.He gave us pain in order to be strong, in order to be more closer to Him..This is a very wonderful write of yours, simply penned but comes from the heart.. love and hugs, Meggie

Nice poem, how i wish to be young again and be like a child forever but life was made this way.... we have to grow old and older and older as we make our own life's story until we all fade away as poets.
