How I Wished For My Peace Poem by Ace D. Roger

How I Wished For My Peace

I could hear the bells tolling
Somewhere near was I falling
Over the streets I saw my darling
'Till the end he was watching.

My hand wanted to reach the moon
For the first time, wished to abandon its cocoon
Alas! The ground will hug me soon
But I still remember the days of my June.

My mind strangled in shadows smiled
For it finally found that lost little child
Who always was forgotten or left behind
At the end those innocent eyes were left dried.

Her smile lost in the course of time
Her will broke and she went mime
Though she never knew her crime
But her hands urged their blood sometimes.

Oh! The blood she craved was of living
But her heart was so utterly forgiving
Even when her heart was at the verge of disappearing
Till the end she was peacefully grinning.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
The way I once imagined my life ending but then realised my decision was wrong and started valuing my life after this particular poem, i kind of wanted to die falling from a tall building but then found the little girl in me hoping for a future so bright and happy. I just couldn't betray her.
