How Important Is It To Have Even A Small Mountain To Look Up To?

How important is it to have even a small mountain to look up to? -
Never conquerable, always behind you;
the huge size of it, always higher.
How much more so are the few marvelous poets I admire
and turn to
as you turn to it, morning or evening sun-lit,
sinking in mist, or target
for sudden lightning.
