How Low - Poem by Lily Espinosa

How low is it possible to sink?
Below the surface of smiles,
Past the warm grip of arms,
Through the rocks that indicate the bottom,
To the murky depths, of a personal hell.
Only to settle in the comfort of shame, embarrassment, disappointment and injustice.
How low is it possible to sink?
