How's my friend today?
I thought of you
does my poem give my thought away?
It's been so nice the kindness
you take the time to send my way
Though it's been uspoken
I feel your spirit from far away
whatever you think of me
it's not necessary to say
Your kindness speaks softly
and gently
and if I may say
I missed you
I hope you'll stay
and keep an open heart
that we may grow closer someday
But you've touched me already
like the early dawn touches the day
Friendship is a precious gift
that brightens the grey
and makes rainbows out of a rainy day
